My mind is going……………Larry also trains the promising filly Believe You Can. She is entered in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes. (This getting old thing is really getting old!)

Hard Mystery won her race with ease today.  Went off as the 1 to 2 favorite and took control at the top of the stretch – 3 1/2 length winner.

Boudicca was a winner at Laurel today.  Passed in the stretch – fought back and won by a nose.

She ran 1 1/16m in 1:46…her first stakes race (the winds were ripping all day 30-40mph). El Padrino ran 1 1/16m in 1:43. Wouldnt it be great to see a filly win the KD or HOY (again)??? Hooves crossed!! High hopes for this young lady!AJ

Spin Out ran a good second, so another couple races and longer distance and he looks like another one to watch. FYI…Safely Spun….I read that his dam is a half sister to FHFs Honest Man. Although he ran fifth, he was gaining at the end so ditto for him too with distance and experience. This is gonna be a great year!!AJ

Glinda the Good won the Island Fashion Stakes at Sunland on Sunday. They seriously have to clone those genes! That boy is one great sire!!!AJ

Thanks muchly for the update.

Kind of quiet on the HS baby front. I did watch HRTV yesterday and saw Midnight Transfers work for the San Felipe. One of the announcers (may have been G Stevens, not sure) was impressed. MT just glided across the track and seemed comfortable with the turns. His trainer (C Gaines) seemed tickled pink. He seems like a big, strong colt and is on my future bets (of course). I definitely like him to get better as the year goes on and think he is triple crown material. I dont really know much about horses, just lucky guesses (Homer, Rocky, HS, Curlin, etc.). The one drawback is that he is west coast. When it comes to the TC they never seem to show up. Well theres always a first time!!!! Hooves crossed! AJ

Creative Cause had a nice win today in the San Felipe, you can tell he likes the extra distance. But, I was also impressed with Hard Spun's colt, Midnight Transfer, running a heck of a race to come in third! He's a little guy, and it looked like he had to take two strides to the winner's one. He's got a lot of heart! Good luck to him down the line!
