We are past that critical 48 hour mark. She is eating her hay and grazing while being held. We'll keep our fingers crossed. The vets are beginning to talk about the next 100 days and what to expect.

Good news for now!  Smile

My beautiful mare is much improved, she is off all the I.V.'s. She is going to a small paddock and allowed to graze for short periods. They are increasing her feed and she is drinking enough to keep herself hydrated. She is giving more milk and the little man is doing good.

Hey Tommy……WONDERFUL news!!! Hope all continues upward from here. Hows the baby? Will they be allowed together or will mom need separation while recuperating? Oh, the video………….I tried watching the Katmango one. All I can say is Im glad I dont weigh 1200 lbs.  Off the subject but is Julien Laparoux (sp) from Louisiana?

I think you may have mentioned it once but Ive forgotten. Is he coming up this way because of $$$? SmileAJ

My big girl is improving and is still on schedule to be released Mon. or Tues. My baby is doing well according to the vets. We had another filly yesterday morning and she is doing fine so far, her mom had a little trouble passing the placenta but she did it with no help and was all good when last i heard.

We went bring 2 more mares to Clear Creek today. They are due at the end of the month. Saw all of our babies today. They are very nice babies especially the Indygo Shiner, I know she is the oldest and should look best but I think she is special. K, I never work too hard, after all Easter is not that far away and will already be my 2nd day off this year. I usually work 7 and 7 ,7 on and 7 on.

Missed that one!! I did get the exacta with (I think) Half Lucky. I was just looking at the entries for the Risen Star….. that came up a very impressive race!! IMO it will be more exciting than the KD and definitely one of the best prep races. I cant wait! SmileSmileAJ
